Beach Hotel Dos Mares Tarifa, Tarifa

I had booked and paid a deposit for the room months ago, and it turned out to be a good size with great views, comfortable, and featuring a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower. However, the bungalows facing the tennis court were not up to today's standards and could use renovation, especially given the high prices in high season.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! Being right at the beach was amazing, and there were plenty of opportunities for kitesurfing. The rooms, although offering fantastic views, might be a challenge for some due to narrow and steep stairs.

The hotel is located down several flights of steps and situated in a very dark area, probably due to sewage issues, which was a bit disappointing. However, the rooms were very nice, despite the outlook being a little disappointing. The service provided was helpful and friendly, though there seemed to be little capital investment by the owners. The location was great for windsurfing, directly between Cadiz and Tarifa, but being about 4 km out of town could be a bit of a walk. The dining experience offered a great selection of fresh fruits and lovely poached eggs, but the absence of ham and cheese sandwiches was a letdown.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The location is amazing, right by the beach and it has a real chill-out vibe. The staff was super accommodating and even moved us to a suite above reception. The evening restaurant was excellent and the breakfast had a good selection. However, being situated adjacent to the restaurant kitchen was a downside.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the room I stayed in was modern and comfortable, I felt that some areas of the hotel needed renovation. The service was friendly overall, but there were occasions when the staff seemed a bit grumpy. The location was breathtaking, right on the beach, but the dining options could have been more varied.
